The Northern Territory Government welcomes over 2300 international students to study in Darwin and Alice Springs.

International students form an integral part of the community, contributing socially, economically and culturally to the Northern Territory.

As part of the government’s overarching goal to support international students, grant opportunities are now available through StudyNT in the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation. The grants have been developed as a pilot project through public consultations for the Economic Development Framework.

The grants will enhance the wellbeing of international students and encourage them to experience the Territory lifestyle. Community members including students, associations, businesses and not-for-profit organisations who can deliver initiatives and activities that showcase the Territory as the ideal destination to study, live and work are encouraged to apply.

Two different types of grants are available:

International student wellbeing grants - up to $10 000 each

These grants are open, but not limited to student and community groups, associations, businesses and not-for-profit organisations. Applicants working in partnership with other organisations or businesses are urged to apply. Applications for this grant round close midnight ACST Sunday 14 January 2018.
