Welcome reception and scholarships presentation for 2018 international students

The Northern Territory Government welcomes new international students to the Territory in Parliament House. All commencing international students are invited - talk to your education provider for an invitation.

The welcome reception will include an address from the Hon Eva Lawler MLA, Minister for Education, a presentation to recognise 2018 Study in Australia’s Northern Territory Scholarship recipients and a chance for international students to meet with multicultural organisations in the Northern Territory.

Queen’s Baton Relay

In anticipation of the 21st Commonwealth Games, the Queen's Baton Relay will be visiting the City of Darwin on 2 March 2018.

The Queen's Baton left Buckingham Palace on 13 March 2017 and arrived into Australia on 24 December. Darwin is the last stop before it heads to the host state.

Raw Comedy NT final

Cheer on the Northern Territory entrants in Australia’s biggest open mic comedy competition.

With past competitors including Tom Ballard, Hannah Gadsby and Celia Pacquola you can see that RAW comedy really helps to strike that perfect comedy balance.

Darwin celebration of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games

Jessica Mauboy is headlining at the Darwin Waterfront to celebrate the 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay’s.

This free, family friendly celebration commences at 4pm with entertainment and vendors before the Queen’s Baton arrival - carried by Casimira Tipiloura, the first Tiwi Island student to gain an ATAR from Year 12.

Deckchair Cinema

Deckchair Cinemais a unique outdoor cinema experience. The outdoor setting, on the edge of Darwin Harbour is stunning: watch the sunset over the sea and enjoy the tropical garden setting.

Deckchair Cinema runs seven nights a week during the dry season screening a range of movies that include family favorites, Australian and foreign films.

Greek Glenti

The Greek Glenti, held at historic Bicentennial Park in Darwin, is a fun and vibrant festival where the Greek community shares their culture, food, wine, dance and music with locals and visitors.

The Glenti consists of local and interstate entertainment and acts and besides being able to eat Greek food, you can see people wearing traditional Greek clothing, be enlightened by the Greek culture, listen to Greek music, and see traditional dancing and much more.
